FAQs

  • What are your payment terms?
I require a £400 non-refundable booking fee upon making a booking with me to secure your wedding date. The remaining balance is then due one month before the wedding. However, if you prefer to pay in instalments, this can be arranged.
  • Where are you based and do you travel?
I live on the South/West Yorkshire border between Barnsley and Wakefield with my wife and three children. I love to travel anywhere for a wedding and I don't limit myself to an area.
  • Do you charge for travel and accommodation?
I don't charge extra for travel or accommodation. This is all included in the package price.
  • Can we choose our own music for the film?
Short answer? Unfortunately not, but this isn't a bad thing. To avoid copyright issues, I subscribe to lots of places where I can use and fully license original music and I select very carefully what to use to best craft the story of your day. (Truthfully I spend too long deciding at this stage of the edit!)
  • Will you fly your drone?
Provided I am in a safe area to fly, I have the venue's permission and the great weather powers allow me, I will fly the drone when I get chance. Please note, flying is at my own discretion. I will not fly in built up areas or near airports.
  • How do you deliver the end result?
I deliver all films on an online video gallery with download options. This site is called VidFlow. You can share the gallery with family and friends, it is password protected, you can download all the videos directly: making as many backup copies as you see fit (and I'd recommend a lot!) and you can install the VidFlow smart TV app on your smart TV, cast your videos and keep it on hand for whenever you get the itch to watch them. If you decide to choose the video book option, this will include your videos loaded onto a physical, chargeable video album for you to watch any time.
  • Do you work well with photographers?
Extremely so! I love working with photographers and always allow them to take the lead. I don't want to run the risk of "too many cooks". I will make sure that I get all the footage I need whilst allowing them to take point throughout the day with the hope that they find me pleasant to work with!
  • Do we need to meet prior to the day?
Not necessarily, however, I do like to arrange a video call a few weeks before to allow us to get to know each other.
  • What equipment do you use?
My goal is to keep things as minimal as possible in order to blend in throughout the day. My main camera is a Sony A7siii mounted primarily to a gimbal or used handheld. For ceremonies and speeches, I will shoot with two or three cameras on tripods (Sony A7siii, Panasonic G9ii and Panasonic Gh5), Sony TX650 clip microphones. I also have a DJI Mavic Mini 4 drone. I have backup cameras and audio recorders if one decides to break down unexpectedly.
  • Can we have RAW footage?
I don't provide unedited raw material as it is unsuitable to use without the right editing treatment. It is also not a reflection of my work as the films are 95% crafted in my editing process. Furthermore, I shoot around 250GB per wedding which is an enormous amount of footage to transfer. However, if you wanted a selection of unused clips or bloopers, I'm happy to charge a price for this.
  • Are you insured?
Of course! I have Public Liability Insurance up to £5 million and insurance for all of my equipment.
